Getting excited!

This past weekend I spoke to Starbucks about doing a "dog wash" to raise money.  I have to send a bit more information.  I have my fingers crossed that it will work out.  It is at a great location.

We need your help.

I have been blessed with three beautiful children and two of them are losing their sight.  They have been diagnosed with something called Leber's Congenital Amaurosis.

Leber’s Congenital Amaurosis (LCA) is a rare, hereditary disorder that leads to retinal dysfunction and visual impairment at an early age – often from birth. Of all the retinal degenerations, LCA has the earliest age of onset and can be the most severe.

I no longer want to wait for a cure to come to us.  Aiden is 7 years old and is down to 5% visual fields.  He is a braille reader and uses a cane for mobility.  Gabby is almost 2 and is now starting to lose her sight also.  She was diagnosed during my pregnancy with LCA, but to actually watch it happen is heart breaking.   She also started having seizures and is on medication for that.  I'm sure there is a cure out there and I want to help find it.  I have joined forces with other families to support the RDH12 Fund for Sight.

I plan on holding my first fundraiser within the next month.  I'm new to fundraising and welcome any help.  My husband is in the military and is away a lot.  There is no way I can do this alone.  Please help me help my family.
